Amidst a lifelong journey of moving from denial towards acceptance, Pain Is A Heavy Door was created as a long winded diary entry about the trials and triumphs of dealing with anxiety and avoidance. At times, it insists the world is burning and nothing will ever get better. At other times, it floats in the euphoria you feel when you realize that isn’t the case. Written and recorded in a living room by a chosen family, it embodies the uncut energy of its 26 year old lyricist undergoing her first year of therapy, trying to survive the highs and lows of her own mind.
